Clara Hevia



Welcome!
Clara (she/her) is an NYC & Boston-based actor & singer. She graduated from NYU Steinhardt in May of 2021, earning a B.M. in Vocal Performance/Musical Theatre with a minor in Dramatic Literature. She is passionate about Shakespeare, teaching, and accessible theatre, believing strongly in storytelling as a tool for empowerment, advocacy, and social change.
Clara was most recently seen as Mayella Ewell in Umbrella Stage Co.'s To Kill a Mockingbird and as Celia in Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's As You Like It. Other favorite credits include The Winter's Tale (Perdita) and Stage2's A Midsummer Night's Dream with CSC; several concert musicals in NYC with JWM: A Theatrical Company & The Hearty Meal Theatre Co., and a year of traveling North America with the national tour of Cats as the soprano booth singer & swing, understudying Grizabella, Jellylorum, & Sillabub.
Outside of acting, Clara adores Chipotle, dance class, wandering indie bookshops or thrift stores, and making friends with as many animals as possible. She is also fascinated by human movement science, kinesiology, and psychology, and in 2024 she became an NASM-certified personal trainer.
