Clara Hevia

Welcome!
Clara (she/her) is an NYC & Boston-based actor & singer. She graduated from NYU Steinhardt in May of 2021, earning a B.M. in Vocal Performance/Musical Theatre with a minor in Dramatic Literature. She is passionate about Shakespeare, new works, and teaching, believing strongly in storytelling as a tool for empowerment, advocacy, and social change. (She especially loves TYA and student-friendly performances!)
Onstage, Clara was most recently seen as Celia in Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's As You Like It, and was a part of this year's CSC2 cohort, performing student matinees of Macbeth. Other favorite credits include The Winter's Tale (Perdita) and Stage2's A Midsummer Night's Dream with CSC; various roles in Lyric Back Stage's Made You Look and Party Bots (Lyric Stage Co. of Boston), and a year of traveling North America with the national tour of Cats as the soprano booth singer & swing, understudying Grizabella, Jellylorum, & Sillabub.
Outside of acting, Clara adores Chipotle, dance class, wandering indie bookshops or thrift stores, and making friends with as many animals as possible. She is also fascinated by human movement science, kinesiology, and psychology, and in 2024 she became an NASM-certified personal trainer.
